This is an easy and fun old recipe for making healthy rice krispie squares using multigrain rice cakes and dark chocolate. It combines almond butter, raw honey, and a dash of cinnamon topped with crushed walnuts.
In a large bowl, crush up 8 rice cakes.
In another bowl, combine melted dark chocolate, almond butter, honey, and cinnamon.
Pour the chocolate mix into the crushed rice cakes and thoroughly mix to coat everything.
Line a pan with parchment paper and spoon in all of the rice crispy mix; using the back of a spoon press down the mix until it is tightly packed into the pan.
Top with crushed walnuts and a pinch of salt; then place in the freezer for 30 minutes to harden.
Once hardened, cut into individual squares and store them in the fridge.
