STRAWBERRY DATE BARK HEART💕 aka an incredibly simple Valentine’s Day dessert idea!
Serves 820 mins prep60 mins cook
Taking the viral date bark trend and shaping it into a heart makes for the cutest Valentine’s Day treat. You can make it as big or as little as you want, mine was decently big (use your discretion for the ingredient amounts depending on what size you want yours). Strawberries are so delicious in this thing, but you could swap for raspberries if you prefer that!

What you need

pinch salt

oz dark chocolate

strawberries

medjool dates

cup almond
Instructions
1. Start by pitting the dates and then laying parchment paper down on a board or plate. To make the heart shaped outline, I separated the dates in half (it’ll easily rip apart when you take the pit out), this made it easy to create an outline of a heart. Place the dates skin side up and be sure to squish/connect each piece down on each other so they stick together. 2. Once the outline is made, simply fill it in with the remaining dates, squishing down to stick together. Put another piece of parchment paper on top of the heart, and then press down using your hands to ensure all pieces stick together. Flip the date heart over so the inner date side is facing up. Carefully remove the top parchment paper. 3. Slather on spoonfuls of nut butter, spreading it out all over the date heart. Spread the diced strawberries all over after that, followed by the crushed almonds. Finally, cover the whole date heart in melted dark chocolate and a pinch of salt. 4. Freeze for 1 hour minimum, but recommended more time in the freezer to harden up more. I left it in for a couple hours, you could even do overnight (best to prep ahead of time).
